Female Entrepreneur Event

On the 17th of October we celebrated local female Entrepreneurs at a panel discussion in the GROWTHhub.

We were delighted to have Aisling Finn, Managing Director at Book Resort and Aileen Barron, Managing Director of Green Acre Marketing.

Aisling’s business The Book Resort is an Irish family run luxury book subscription and gifting company based in Waterford. They deliver gorgeous gifts, beautifully presented with the latest, bestselling books, delicious chocolate and artisan surprises.

Aileen is the founder and Managing director at Green Acre Marketing who provide marketing services to companies which form the backbone of Irish agribusiness. They offer services in every area of marketing, helping businesses improve their current brand, while creating successful marketing strategies.

Both ladies shared their motivations for starting their businesses and who influenced them to become entrepreneurs. They spoke about the struggles they encountered during their business journey and how they overcame them. The ladies gave an insightful talk to our students and shared their main tip of always asking questions and asking for help when setting up your business, because people will always help and guide you. They both also wished that there was somewhere like the GROWTHhub when in college that they could have attended to, to help them out and as an entrepreneur they really expressed to students the benefit the GROWTHhub could have for them and their future aspirations.
